Middle School
Our middle school teachers use the best educational practices to provide students with the tools and training needed to become organized, independent, and creative learners. In the classroom, the power of technology, group work, creative instruction, and dynamic projects is harnessed to promote a high level of learning. We also strive to help students grow in their faith, make good life choices, and understand the importance of a biblical worldview. Teachers actively seek out opportunities to mentor students and generate positive conversations. All Morrison middle school students are also assigned to an advisory group that meets weekly with an adult advisor to discuss topics such as study habits and life skills.

The academic environment changes as students are now more able to analyze topics, think critically, read more advanced material, and express themselves in extended essays. As bodies mature and emotions play their role in adolescent development, the school provides opportunities for hands-on inquiry-based learning, projects, and physical activity. Students can choose to participate in sports tournaments, band and orchestra concerts, and drama productions. Exploratory learning is provided through elective courses each quarter. Specialists teach your child Mandarin Chinese, art, music, physical education, and library skills. Each has a vital part in your child’s week.
